About Jess

Hey there! Thanks for dropping by to check out my photography work. Next to the creator, my wife, and my kids, photography is one of the things I am most passionate about.

I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Seattle, WA. My goal in every project I do is to capture the essential aspects of the event and the true personality of my subjects. I document weddings combining both photojournalistic and traditional style. You can read more of my style and approach from my Technique page.

Since this page is about me, I hope you don’t mind if I present a little bit more about myself – as a person.

I am a Christian and I totally love God. Everything I am and everything I have I owe to Him. My photography skills and business are a testament to His goodness. I hope to honor the Lord in the way I conduct myself and my business. I was baptized in my faith in 2008 and if you’d like to hear my testimony, you can watch it here.

Apart from being a photographer, believe it or not, I am also one of the biggest computer geeks that I know. And since I use both PCs and Macs, so I guess you can say that I’m twice as much of a geek. =)

On the cool side, however, I’m also a bass player for my church. I lay down the groove for everybody else in my worship band. So I’m not quite all-geek afterall. I guess you can say I’m actually a groovy kind of geek. =)

Among the things that I like are coffee (I guess that’s a given since we live in Seattle), music, and movies. When it comes to music, I like listening to a lot of different types – from Christian to pop to rock to jazz. Oh, and I shouldn’t forget to mention that I like both Pearl Jam and Nirvana, and Metallica and Megadeth just as well. Among my all-time favorite movies are Star Wars, Back To The Future, and Narnia, and most recently there’s Taken and Unknown.

And lastly, but not the least of my priorities, in fact even before I am these things, I am simply a father to my kids and a husband to my wife. And hopefully, a good one at that.
